World Series of Poker 2007

PokerStars players enjoy playing both online and live poker tournaments. That is why we have hosted the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, a World Poker Tour event, each year for the past 4 years.

This great event has taken place on a cruise ship as well as the beautiful Atlantis Resort and Casino on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The 2004 winner was none other than top professional Gus Hansen.

In 2005, Londoner John Gale won the event. Gale, who was born in 1953, had only taken up the game in 2004 and has had great tournament success since then. He won a bracelet at the 2006 WSOP and a fabulous 3rd placing at the main event of the WPT Borgata Winter Open in January 2007, proving if you have the right mindset for this game, you can take it up any time in life and excel at it.

The 2006 winner was young Canadian player Steve Paul-Ambrose. He won a whopping $1.3 million dollars, having invested only $110 via a PokerStars satellite. Steve had been working on his game for a few years on PokerStars when he took his shot at the multi-million dollar event in the Bahamas.

In addition to the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, PokerStars also hosts satellites for other World Poker Tour events. Entry into prestigious events such as the $25,000 World Poker Tour Championship at the Bellagio, the Foxwoods World Poker Finals, and the Borgata Poker Open are available through our satellites. You can watch the World Poker Tour every Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET on the Travel Channel. Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten announce the show, which covers the final six players who are left to compete for the title and prize money. Then pack a bag, bring your A game, catch a few cards, and get ready to watch yourself on T.V. competing for millions of dollars on a WPT broadcast.
