Team PokerStars Pro - Luca Pagano

Luca Pagano
Luca Pagano is a perfect example of the new generation of poker players. A computer-programming student just a few short years ago, Pagano started playing poker at the free money tables online at PokerStars. From Italy, Luca quickly improved his poker skills and started winning money at the real money tables and continues to improve his poker game. Though he won't disclose any exact numbers, Pagano defines his online poker winnings over the past few years as "A lot", allowing him to fulfill his dream of playing poker as a full time profession. He also has used his past experience with computers and in the stock market to help his poker game.
Many professional poker players used to believe that online poker skills were difficult to transfer to live play, but like so many other players who started online, Pagano quickly adapted to the live game. He garnered a great deal of notice amongst the poker community by finishing in the money in 5 European Poker tour events, including two final table finishes.
Though Luca has enjoyed a great deal of success playing no limit Texas holdem tournaments, he claims his best games are still heads-up Texas holdem in limit and short-handed Texas holdem.
After playing at PokerStars for a long time, Pagano was finally invited to join Team PokerStars Pro and represents the room at some of the largest poker tournaments in the world. You can also find him often playing at PokerStars under the screen name LucaPagano.
