Juan Manuel Pastor started out in media marketing before focusing on playing poker. He learnt the basics of the game from his grandfather, but what started out as a fun pastime soon turned into a serious money-making opportunity for Juan, and he has since managed to take his poker playing to the next level as one of the most successful Spanish players on the circuit.

Juan has achieved some impressive cashes on the live world stage. In he got his first real career break when he scored two top eight finishes in Barcelona at the 2006 World Heads-Up Poker Championships. Juan also found success in the local regional poker events in the Campeonato Espana de Poker. This includes his first big win at a $600 No Limit Hold’em tournament in 2008, where Juan took victory and $35,045 in prize money. He is also no stranger to success on the European Poker Tour, performing well at many of the top events on the tour, including a big-money finish in Season 8 at the London leg, cashing for $312,598 for a 4th place finish.
Away from the poker table Juan is a sports fan and takes part in boxing, rugby and handball. With his skill and dedication to the game it can only be a matter of time before Juan takes down his first big title win.
