Exclusive January VIP Poker Club Extras!

The PokerStars VIP Club is giving all players from the UK & Ireland a month’s worth of added incentives this January. Here’s what’s in store:

Discounted TCOOP Tickets and PokerStars Merchandise

Players with SilverStar VIP status and higher can purchase tickets to TCOOP events at special discount rates. It’s the brand-new turbo tournament series that takes place January 19-29 with a guaranteed prize pool of $10,000,000, meaning you have the chance to turn your VPPs into a huge payday.

What’s more, over 100 items of PokerStars gear are on sale from January 4 until the end of the month, with some items as much as 60% cheaper. Go to the VIP Store and look under ‘Online Tournament Tickets’ and ‘2012 January Sale’ to see the full list of sale items.

Note: TCOOP tickets are limited, and players are only eligible to purchase one of each discounted ticket on offer. Tickets purchased must be used in TCOOP tournaments.

VIP Ring Game Happy Hours

You can earn 50% more VPPs and FPPs with special Ring Game Happy Hours running all month. There will be one each day from January 2-29, and all you need to do to earn your additional points is play on any real money ring game table during one of the hours listed below:

January 2-8: 04:00-05:00 ET
January 9- 15: 10:00-11:00 ET
January 16-22: 16:00-17:00ET
January 23-29: 22:00-23:00ET

Pace Bonus

You can also earn a cash bonus in February, based on the amount of VPPs you earn in January. It’s your chance to win big as you set your personal VIP Club targets for the rest of the year.

The Pace Bonus means that players headed for Supernova will be on pace to hit their target, and may even earn a Milestone Cash Credit! See the VIP Calculator to work out the kind of rewards you can expect in 2012.

Note: The Pace Bonus will be applied to player accounts before 12:00 ET on February 2, 2012. Players will have until 23:59 ET on February 29 to clear the bonus in full.

Special VIP Tournaments

The regular VIP Club monthly tournaments are being revamped up for January with additional added prizes:

Weekly $30,000 VIP Tournaments - these run at  14:30 ET every Saturday during the month, with a  buy-in of just 100 FPPs for SilverStar VIPs and above. On top of their share of the cash, 1st place will also take home a Citizen watch, and every player making the final table will win different prizes each week:

Week 1: Shure headphones | Week 2: Customized leather wallet | Week 3: Oakley sunglasses
Week 4: Logitech Optical Mouse

Monthly $100,000 VIP Tournament - this runs at 15:00 ET on Saturday, January 28. If you are a GoldStar VIP or higher you can play for free, and SilverStar VIPs can win their seat via satellite qualifiers. Every player who makes the final table will win a pair of Porsche sunglasses, and 1st place will be awarded a Tag Heuer watch!

Remember that there are also quarterly $1,000,000 VIP Tournaments every year for Supernova and Supernova Elite VIPs. The first 2012 tournament is set to run February 11, and there are also special satellite qualifiers running for GoldStar and PlatinumStar VIPs.

Exclusive VIP TCOOP Satellite Qualifiers

Players who have SilverStar status and higher can win TCOOP event seats with exclusive satellite tournaments in January. They give you great value for your FPPs, plus the chance to become one of the first-ever TCOOP Champions. To see a list of VIP satellites, open the PokerStars lobby and go to  ‘Tourney’  > ‘VIP’  > ‘All’.
