Depending on your country of residence, PokerStars offers players the option of receiving checks in any of the following currencies:
The exchange rate you will receive in any currency other than US dollars is displayed on the Cashier's Cash Out page when you select the check option . For all currencies other than Euro, the exchange rate offered is updated every weekday at around 7:30 PM (EST) based on Reuters rates taken from their website. The Euro exchange rate offered is updated several times a day Monday through Friday based on Reuters rates taken from their website.
There are no fees charged by PokerStars to issue a check in any of the available currencies. However, we cannot be responsible for any charges made by banks or other financial institutions for banking or cashing checks. Furthermore, many of our checks are issued across borders, and some banks or financial institutions charge additional fees for handling international checks. Before requesting a check, we suggest that you check with your bank or financial institution for any charges that you may incur when banking or cashing your check.
We strongly advise that you deposit your check at a reputable bank or financial institution, and avoid using a check cashing store.
USD Checks will be delivered by regular mail and are expected to arrive within 15 business days. Where applicable, non-USD checks under $1,000 USD equivalent will be sent by regular mail, and are expected to arrive within 15 business days. Non-USD checks over $1,000 USD equivalent will be delivered by courier and are expected to arrive within 7 business days. To be able to use our courier service we will need your contact phone number and your address must not be a PO Box or rural route address.
Checks are sent to the full name and mailing address listed in your PokerStars account at the time you make your cashout request. If your check is sent to an incorrect name or mailing address, you will incur a fee to place a stop-payment order on this check. For the minimum and maximum check amount in your country of registration with PokerStars, please see the PokerStars Cashier. Only one check will be processed per week. Checks in all currencies are normally sent for processing every business day from Monday to Friday.
PokerStars uses the prevailing mid-market rate provided by Reuters (plus a small fee if applicable) to convert your PokerStars account currency to your cashout currency. For additional information, please read our Real Money Transaction Processing and Currency Conversion Terms and Conditions.
To receive a check in US dollars, where available, select the 'Check in' option on the Cash Out page, and choose '$US' from the drop down menu.
To receive a check in any of the available local currencies listed above, select the "Check in" option on the Cashout page and choose your local currency from the drop down menu.
