When you play poker at PokerStars, you always play with other players, and not against the house. PokerStars only gets compensated through the ‘rake’, which is a small percentage of the pot. See the rake page for details.
The funds deposited by players are held in segregated bank accounts, and are not used for the operational expenses of PokerStars. This means that players’ funds are always secure and available to them.
PokerStars is licensed by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, a highly respected regulatory body with strict requirements for protecting player funds. PokerStars always operates in full regulatory compliance and takes pride in putting player interests first.
To cash out your poker winnings, just click on the ‘Cashier’ button in the game Lobby and then choose the ‘Cash Out’ option. Next, you will be asked how much you want to cash out. Simply enter the desired amount and press ‘Submit’. See the Cashout Policy for more information.
The PokerStars Deposit Assistance Department (DAD) specializes in helping players with any problems relating to depositing funds. We can provide live support if a player experiences a declined or refused deposit. A PokerStars representative will assist you using live chat. If you need live support and don’t see that option available, contact dad@pokerstars.com and put ‘Chat Request’ in your email’s subject line. Also, stay logged on to the PokerStars software.
PokerStars gives you the ability to limit the amount of real money that you can deposit per week. This self-imposed cap might not be any higher than the limit already set for your account by PokerStars. The point is that our players can fully manage their budget for playing poker online. To set a deposit limit, go to the ‘Cashier’ in the game software, and choose ‘Restrict Deposit Limit’.
