What are Local Bank Transfers?
The Local Bank Transfer allows you to make fund transfers in the local currency directly from your bank account to your PokerStars account. You can make the transfer in your local currency online at your bank's web site, by telephone banking, by mailing/faxing the details to your bank or by visiting your bank in person.
How can I make purchases at PokerStars using Local Bank Transfer?
The Local Bank Transfer is fully integrated via the PokerStars cashier screen. When you click on "Cashier" and then on "Buy Chips", you will see an option to use Local Bank Transfer. Click on the Local Bank Transfer button and enter the amount you wish to deposit in your local currency. You will be then presented with instructions, which will also be emailed to you.
The instructions will include unique one-time reference number. You must include this unique one-time reference number in the instructions to your bank when you are sending your payment to us. If your transfer form does not have space for this number, place it in front of your name. Omitting the reference number may result in payment delay or loss.
It is also important that you visit the Cashier for each subsequent Local Bank Transfer that you wish to make, in order to get a new unique one-time reference number. Reusing reference numbers may result in a payment delay or loss.
Please note: We do not allow cash deposits or bank transfers made by third-party deposits when you complete the transaction at your bank. This is due to anti-money laundering regulations. You may be charged all banking and administrative costs to return any such payment.
Currently the deposit limits are:
- US $10 - minimum purchase
- US $1,000 - maximum amount to purchase within 24 hours
- US $5,000 - maximum amount to purchase within 7 days
- US $10,000 - maximum amount to purchase within 30 days
Please note that due to exchange rate fluctuations you may send an amount that is over or under the permissible minimum/maximum deposit. Please take exchange rate fluctuations into consideration when you make a transfer in your local currency.
The transfer may takeup to 4 business days to be credited to your PokerStars
account. Once your account is credited, you will be sent a confirmation
email.
Please note that you have 2 weeks to complete the transfer.
How does the exchange rate conversion work?
When PokerStars receives your transfer, we convert the funds into $US and credit the $US amount to your PokerStars account. PokerStars uses Reuters exchange rates to covert players' funds from local currency to $US.

What will it cost me to use Local Bank Transfer at PokerStars?
There are no fees for using Local Bank Transfer at PokerStars. However your Bank may charge a fee.
