‘Dustin Mele’ Wins the PokerStars Passport!
The action is over, the results are in and ‘DoobMan420’, now playing as ‘Dustin Mele’*, has emerged as the winner of the ultimate live tournament package; the PokerStars Passport. Dustin, from New York, now has the chance to play in ten of the biggest live tournaments in the world. The first stop on his amazing journey will be Dortmund, for the EPT German Open in January, and will end a year later at the 2009 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. In between, Dustin will have his pick of any EPT and APPT event, as well as the WSOP‡ Main Event.
The PokerStars Passport finals were open to all players who finished in the top 1,000 of the monthly TLB for December. Those who finished in the top 100 played for the exclusive PokerStars Passport, an EPT Monte Carlo package and $25,000 in cash. The runner up was ‘icallseat3’, who won the Monte Carlo package, with everyone else on the final table taking a share of the prize pool.
But they were not the only winners on the night. Players who finished on the TLB in places 101-1000 also played for EPT Monte Carlo packages and cash prizes. In the end, it was players ‘z 0 0 t s’, ‘charder30’ and ‘Johnny Quads’ who won Monte Carlo seats, while 24 other players split the cash prizes. The roll-call of amazing destinations where Dustin Melecould now end up playing poker includes: Las Vegas, Barcelona, London, Baden, Dublin, Prague, Dortmund, Copenhagen, Warsaw, San Remo, Monte Carlo, the Bahamas, Seoul, Manila, Macau and Sydney!
However, Dustin won't be playing just for himself. Every time he cashes in one of the ten events, ten percent will be returned to PokerStars. The amount will be doubled for a special Frequent Flyer Freeroll. These tournaments will be open to all VIPs that are SilverStar status or higher, for just 10 FPPs.
