The third tournament on the first-ever season of the Portugal Poker Series took place in the seaside resort of Espinho, with a prize pool of €97,097 up for grabs. John Correira was crowned as the new champion, and he took home €26,701 for the win when he beat Victor Moreira in the heads-up finale.

Stop 2 on the first season of the Portugal Poker Series was made in Figueira da Foz, and a rookie player João Costa, collected €24,640 for the win in what was his first-ever live poker tournament. It was no fluke either, as he dominated proceedings from early on in the tourney, before closing out the victory.

The inaugural Season 1 PPS event saw a field of 146 runners descend on the beautiful resort of Vilamoura. José Passos emerged as the winner, taking away the first-ever Championship title and an impressive cash of €27,262 after beating Pedro Daniel when play got down to heads-up.
