Deauville

Deauville | 889 players | €4,267,200 prize pool | 1st: Vadzim Kursevich (€875,000)
EPT Deauville welcomed a big field of 889 players to the stunning Casino Barriere, creating a prize pool of €4,267,200 with 128 place paid. The big winner was Vadzim Kursevich from Belarus, who beat PokerStars.fr qualifier Paul Guichard from France in a thrilling final hand, rivering a straight against Guichard’s set of fives. There was also a big finish from Team PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano, who made €110,000 in 7th.

Prague

Prague | 772 players | €3,501,700 prize pool | 1st: Martin Finger (€720,000)
Season 8’s visit to the Czech capital saw the biggest-ever Main Event field assemble to do battle for more than €3,500,000 in prize money. After some incredible action at the Prague Hilton, Germany’s Martin Finger was the last player standing, and he took home the coveted EPT title and €720,000 in cash. The end came when his A-K flopped trip Kings against the T-T of heads-up opponent David Boyaciyan.

Loutraki

Loutraki | 336 players | €1,344,000 prize pool | 1st: Zimnan Ziyard (€347,000)
The seaside resort of Loutraki hosted the EPT’s first-ever visit to Greece, and 336 players registered for the Main Event, creating a prize pool of €1,344,000. PokerStars qualifier Zimnan Ziyard from the UK took the chip lead into the final table and made his advantage pay, playing brilliantly to reach the heads-up finale and defeat Germany’s Hauke Heseding to take the title.

San Remo

San Remo | 837 players | €3,734,694 prize pool | 1st: Andrey Pateychuk (€800,000)
A huge field of 837 players gathered in San Remo to contest a Main Event prize pool of €3,734,694. There were plenty of big names in contention, but it all came down to the heads-up between Russia’s Andrey Pateychuk and Bulgaria’s Dimitar Danchev. It was the Russian who sealed the deal, taking the title and €800,000 in cash when his K-Q suited made a flush against his opponent’s pocket sevens.

Barcelona

Barcelona | 811 players | €4,055,000 prize pool | 1st: Martin Schleich (€850,000)
The EPT paid its regular visit to Barcelona, with a huge 811 players sitting down at the tables to battle for a prize pool of just over €4,000,000. Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov continued his incredible hot streak all the way to 3rd place, before Germany’s Martin Schleich closed it out in the small hours of the morning against Spain’s Dragan Kostic, when his A-9 won out against Kostic’s A-7.

Tallinn

Tallinn | 282 players | €1,071,600 prize pool | 1st: Ronny Kaiser (€275,000)
The Season 8 opener took place in the Estonian capital city of Tallinn, and a strong field of players numbering 282 registered for the Main Event. Switzerland provided the first champion for the new season, as Ronny Kaiser blasted his way through the final table, taking just over four hours to win the €275,000 in first place prize money, beating Grzegorz Cichocki into second place.
