The Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) is one the world’s largest regional poker tours, with events taking place across Australia, New Zealand, China and beyond. There’s millions of dollars up for grabs every season, and you can qualify for the next event with PokerStars satellites running now.
After four hugely successful seasons, the APPT is now back for Season 5 with another schedule packed full of major events across the region. This season’s schedule includes stops in Melbourne, Queenstown, Macau and the Philippines, meaning you get to travel across many of the world’s most interesting countries when you play the tour.

The Asia Pacific Poker Tour returned to the beautiful island resort of Cebu in the Philippines, with 245 players registering to play for a Main Event prize pool of PHP 24,500,000. The title was won for the first time ever by a Vietnamese player - Hoang Anh Do, who pocketed PHP 5,927,000 for his work. He beat runner-up Nick Wong when his A-8 improved to two pair, against Wong's A-T.

Seoul | 268 players | KRW 717,489,000 prize pool | 1st: Andrew Kim (KRW 145,000,000)
Records were broken in Seoul as the visit of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour staged the biggest live poker event, with the largest prize pool ever held in Korea. A field of 268 players from 37 countries contested took part, and it was Andrew Kim from the USA who emerged victorious. He beat Vincent Rubianes in the heads when his A-K won the flip against Rubianes’ pair of Tens.

Macau | 575 players | HKD$15,552,600 prize pool | 1st: Randy Lew (HKD$3,772,000)
The third stop of Season 5 visited PokerStars Macau, and 575 players gathered to create a total prize pool of HKD$15,552,600. That meant HKD$3,772,000 for first, which went to Team PokerStars Online pro Randy ‘nanonoko’ Lew who entered the final table short stacked. He doubled up with Queens against Aces, and from there powered home, closing it out when he flopped top two pair against Jimmy Pan.

Queenstown | 127 players | NZ$342,900 prize pool | 1st: Marcel Schreiner (NZ$94,300)
The ANZPT returned to Queenstown in the South Island of New Zealand for an exclusive Snowfest event, and 127 players created a prize pool totalling NZ$342,900. The action was fast and furious and the final table saw some incredible play before Germany’s Marcel Schreiner sealed the deal, when his A-Q crushed heads-up opponent Matty Yates’s A-9.

Melbourne | 260 players | AU$1,220,000 prize pool | 1st: Leo Boxell (AU$330,000)
The world-famous Crown Casino hosted its first-ever Asia Pacific Poker Tour event to open Season 5, and 260 players registered for the Main Event. The big winner was Leo Boxell, who took home a massive AUD$330,000 in cash for first, beating Phil Willcocks into the runner-up spot when his two pair got the better of Willcocks’ pair of Jacks.
