Season 4 of Australia and New Zealand’s biggest poker tour will visit four of the region’s coolest destinations and award hundreds of thousands of dollars. The event schedule takes in Sydney, and Melbourne, plus the eagerly-anticipated return to New Zealand for the Queenstown Snowfest event.

An all-Australian final table contested the closing stages of ANZPT Perth at the Burswood Enterntainment Complex, after 310 players registered for the Main Event. The eventual winner was Mat ‘Skillz’ Carlsson, who took home the trophy and $78,275 after beating Anthony Marenko in the heads-up finale. Carlsson secured victory when he called down Marenko’s all-in shove with K-2 holding sevens, which held up.

Sydney | 461 players | AUD $922,000 prize pool | 1st: Gordon Huntly (AUD $226,812)
The famous Star Casino in Sydney played host to the opening event of Season 4 of the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour, and 461 players turned up to play the event. The first champion of the new season was Scotland’s Gordon Huntly who collected AUD $226,812 when he beat Liam O’Rourke in the heads-up finale. His pair of nines was good for the win against O’Rourke’s K-9.
