Setting up your Online Poker Club

You can set up your own private online Poker Club now. It only takes a few minutes to create your club, invite your friends, and arrange games. Watch the video for more details, or follow the easy guide below.

Start your Poker Club: Step-by-Step Guide

1: Download the Software

The first step for playing Home Games is to download the PokerStars poker software onto your computer. If you don’t have the software yet, download it now. Once you’ve got the software, you can start your Poker Club!

2: Enter the Home Games Lobby

You will see the ‘Home Games’ tab in the main poker game lobby. Click on that tab to open the Home Games lobby.

3: Join or Start a Club

There are two green buttons on the left-hand side of the Home Games lobby. If you received an invitation to join a club, click ‘Join a Poker Club’. To start a new club, click ‘Create a Poker Club’. A pop-up window with instructions will appear.

4: Name your Club

When you create your online Poker Club, you will receive instructions on giving your club a name and invitation code. (Do not use your PokerStars password as your invitation code.) It’s that easy! Now you’ve got your own poker club. See the FAQ for tips on naming your club. Please note that it will take up to 4-5 days before you see your club name in your club lobby. Until then, you’ll see the club ID number, which is a unique identifier for your club.

5: Invite your Friends

The next step is to invite your friends. PokerStars will send you an email with your club details and Club ID number. To join your club, all your friends need is the Club ID number and Invitation Code. Just send this info to your friends via email, Twitter, or any way you want. 6: Enter your Club Lobby

You will see that your new Poker Club has been added to the list of poker clubs in the main Home Games lobby. Click on the ‘Club Lobby’ button to enter your private club lobby. This private lobby is exclusively for you and your club members.

7: Accept Club Members

PokerStars will notify you via email whenever your friends apply to join your Poker Club. You will also get a notice if there are pending applications when you open the club lobby. After receiving a notification from us, go to the ‘Manage Club’ tab in your club lobby, and accept or reject the application in the ‘Pending’ members list.

8: Schedule a Game

Your club is up and running - now you and your friends are ready to start playing! To schedule a Home Game, click on the ‘Manage Games’ tab in your private club lobby. Next, choose to create an online tourney or a cash game.

9: Set up your Game

To arrange a tournament, simply follow the instructions for selecting the date and time, poker game (Hold’em, Omaha, Stud, etc.), buy-in, number of players, and other customizable details. We will automatically send all your club members an email notification with the info about your game. You can also share these details on Twitter.

10: Register for the Game

Most importantly, don’t forget to register for your Home Game! You’ll find a list of all your scheduled games in the main Home Games lobby as well as under the ‘Schedule’ tab in your private club lobby. For tournaments, double-click on the game and then register in the tournament lobby. You’re ready to play! The game will start automatically at the scheduled date and time. We’ll even ask you if you want to register for a tournament as soon as you create it.
